madamangelinadurless said: "What is this I hear about you tormenting my nephew???"
"I have no idea by what you mean my dear Madam. I do not torment the young Phantomhive boy at all. I just simply follow my orders from the Queen and see to it that the Earl is kept in check.” Grey simply shrugged his shoulders and went to go fetch his Madam a warm cup of tea and set it beside her and then took the seat across from her.
"If he has come to you and said that I have in anyway tormented him, I do apologize, but only to you because it was not my intention to be seen that way in your eyes.”
Grey tensed up when she reached out and grabbed his hand once again. He then looked into her eyes, and came to a realization he most likely did not want to admit or recognize. The eyes behind her glasses, which never struck him odd when she wore them because she was a doctor and used them while working, this time however he noticed they were not their usual dark red.
They were bright green.
"…Madam? I…I…" he didn’t know how to respond. Grey wasn’t lying when he said he would do anything for her, but watching over the Earl as in taking care of him was not something he particularly enjoyed.
Grey took a deep breath. “…Fine. I believe you for now but I want an explanation to how and why this happened. It doesn’t have to be today, whenever you are ready…but in return I will watch over Earl Phantomhive.”
"Thank you." Ann said softly as she stood up and moved over. Sitting next to him. Leaning on him a little. "There was a guy. He found me one night while I was doing something awful. We formed a bond. A strong one. The activities we did together… I’d rather not speak of but once we stopped he kept coming to see me." She said softly, shifting to turn and look at him.
"I love him. He makes me whole. The happiest I’ve ever been and for him and I to be together. I had to die and be reborn." Madam said as she went into explaining what had happened with one of his friends who rewrote her story and poof.
"I don’t wish for Ciel to know. He’s already entangled in a web I can’t save him from…" she whispered, looking away.
Grey did not know how to feel listening to everything his dear Madam was telling him. He did not want to believe it, but he felt he had no other choice. What had been done could not be changed and now he just had to accommodate to how things were now. Even if he did not like it.
But what he knew mattered the most to him was that she was happy above all. And so he turned towards her and gave her a soft smile, “Alright I understand my dear Madam, but know this: If he in anyway hurts you…I will kill him” and the look in his eyes that Grey gave her meant every word.
He had to lean in to capture her soft whisper and was concerned over what web she meant but wouldn’t push it further. “I’ll keep the secret from the Earl, but I do recommend to do something about your eyes. I’m surprised he hadn’t noticed the green they turned to, which saddens me, I loved the dark red.” he pouted.
